Role and remit
Stephanie Castonguay leads IFR Services at NAV CANADA as Assistant Vice President, with responsibility for:
- IFR operational performance — overseeing the quality, safety, and efficiency of instrument flight rules services across NAV CANADA's area of responsibility
- Operational excellence initiatives — driving continuous improvement programmes across NAV CANADA's ATC facilities
- Workforce and capacity — managing the operational staffing and productivity of IFR services, including controller deployment and sector capacity planning
Her role sits at the intersection of operational delivery and strategic transformation — translating NAV CANADA's technology and process investments into measurable improvements in IFR service performance.
About NAV CANADA
NAV CANADA is a private, non-share-capital corporation established in 1996 as the world's first non-governmental ANSP to own and operate a national air navigation system. It provides ATC services for approximately 1.7 million IFR flights annually across 18 million square kilometres. NAV CANADA manages the Gander Oceanic FIR, one of the world's busiest oceanic blocks, sharing North Atlantic traffic management with NATS (Shanwick).
