What to expect
As airspace becomes more integrated — accommodating drones, advanced air mobility, space operations, and conventional aviation simultaneously — the safety culture and management systems ANSPs have built for a simpler operating environment face new demands. This session examines how the CANSO community is responding:
- Collaborative safety culture — what it means to build a culture where safety information flows freely across organisations, sectors, and airspace user communities rather than being siloed within individual ANSPs
- Safety in integrated airspace — the specific safety challenges that arise when manned and unmanned, conventional and new-entrant operations share the same airspace volumes
- Resilience as a safety property — how ANSPs are developing the organisational and technical resilience to maintain safe operations through disruption, system degradation, and unexpected events
- CANSO Safety workstream — the frameworks, tools, and guidance the CANSO Safety Standing Committee is developing to support member ANSPs in building robust safety management systems
- Perspectives from across the membership — how ANSPs in different operational and regulatory environments approach collaborative safety culture
